What does DVR and NVR mean?


1. DVR: hard disk video recorder

It is a computer system for image storage and processing, and has the functions of long-term recording, recording, remote monitoring and control of images/voices.



2. NVR: Network Video Recorder

It is the storage and forwarding part of the network video surveillance system. The NVR cooperates with the video encoder or Network Camera to complete the video recording, storage and forwarding functions.

3. Requirements for the camera:

DVR and NVR belong to the input device, there is no requirement for the camera, and can be matched according to the specific use environment.
